Public Health Forum
The Public Health Forum is concerned with the preservation and promotion of physical and mental health by organized social action, possibilities to prevent and cope with diseases of the population or population groups, a more equitable access to healthcare, and an effective and efficient use of healthcare resources. Appearing quarterly, the Public Health Forum covers current public health issues and initiatives in Germany. The journal serves the exchange of information between science and public health practice, and it refrains from being a purely scholarly journal.
Any issue of the Public Health Forum deals with a main topic on which invited, renowned authors give an overview, report the results of their studies or outline projects. This is complemented by experience reports and descriptions of practical examples. Such contributions are peer-reviewed by two independent referees prior to publication. In addition the Public Health Forum regularly informs about public health research and training in Europe, news from research associations and public health university courses. Further sections of the journal focus on public health-relevant events and literature.
Topics for the coming issues are:
Healthcare: professional fields and education
Prevention and health promotion
Achievements of Public Health
Social situation and health.
